Instagram is growing fast and with every step it’s improving. Now with video capability also being available, it’s important that companies start using the service too. But how exactly can you get amazing Instagram results for your business?
Use hashtags
Hashtags make it possible for businesses to search words and phrases on Instagram which are relevant to their organisation. This allows them to see what Instagram users are saying about their products and services. It also gives the business a way to feed back to their customers, showing their appreciation and gratitude.
I’ve had a few personal experiences of businesses commenting on my photos which are relevant to their company. It shows the company to be interested in good feedback, and that they also want the customer to feel that they are helping the business become a success.
Take images seriously
Another way to get amazing Instagram results for your business is to take images seriously. Make sure you as a company upload as many clear and to the point photos. Try to show a look behind the scenes, so that the customer feels they can see every aspect of the business they’re engaging with. Adding photos of previous customers you have had success with is a great idea; nothing builds confidence like past a good reputation. If you have any celebrity customers, take advantage of their fame and feature them regularly. If you can encourage them to continue shopping with you, even better!
You don’t need a fancy camera to take great photos, either. Smartphones have cameras which are easily as good as DSLR models these days, and there are plenty of editing apps which make fine tuning your pictures a breeze. The other advantage of photographing on your phone is that it’s easy to send your images directly to Instagram.
When uploading photos try asking questions or for opinions in the comment box. This keeps customers engaged and encourages them to feel a part of the business. For example, if you’ve designed a new product, try posting a picture and asking for your audiences opinion. More comments equal more interest and exposure.
Connect your social networks
Finally, try to give your company as much publicity as possible. The best way to do this is to connect your Instagram account to other social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. This might sound complicated, but it’s actually pretty simple when you’re using the app. Instagram gives you the option to share on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Flickr, Foursquare and even by email when uploading your photo; it’s simply a case of ticking a box and pressing ‘send’. This helps you to keep your company up to date in every media form and giving the hope of your company growing in success.
