What is Social Media Day?
Social Media Day was launched in 2010 by multi-platform media and entertainment company Mashable as a way to “recognise and celebrate social media’s impact on global communication”. In honour of the occasion, meet-ups and celebrations happen at various locations across the globe, while social media becomes awash with new campaigns and celebratory messages. This year it falls on Thursday 30th June.

Our content marketing manager Mark will be looking into the what good content looks like in 2016 and the part it could play in reinvigorating your social media channels. He’ll also look at some examples of repeatable content for those with little time to invest.
14.30pm: Conquering negativity on social
As a business on social media chances are sooner or later you are going to see some evidence of negative reviews and comments on your pages. The most damaging thing you can do is ignore these. We will be looking at the best way to conquer negativity on social media.
16.30pm: Creating an authentic voice
Social media was made for humans by humans - so it stands to reason that corporate nonsense without any authenticity doesn’t fare well at all. Social media manager Rachel Williams will be looking at the importance of developing an authentic voice for your business and how that could help you achieve your goals.
Each micro-seminar will last approximately 15 minutes with around five minutes of time allocated for questions at the end. These will all be broadcast directly onto Twitter via our Periscope page - follow us now to get alerted when we go live.
We hope you decide to join us!
